This is what the flowers see.

At the beginning of the pandemic, I started taking daily walks to stave off the anxiety and isolation. What I found, right in my neighborhood, was nothing short of magic. I started taking photographs as I traversed the miles around my home and posting them in the hope that it would add some light and beauty to the lives of my friends around the world. As my collection grew, I realized that the most often overlooked beauty is right outside your front door.

I created the website at www.missivesofhope.com as a way to collect and share my photography. You can subscribe to my weekly ramblings for a curated collection of photographs delivered to your inbox once a week. These collections will also get posted to my Facebook page facebook.com/missivesofhope. If you would like a daily dose of Pacific Northwest beauty, you can find my daily posts on Instagram @missives.of.hope. Make sure to check out my Pandemic Wanderings Gallery chronicling my photographic journey through my city from March 2020 through March 2021.

I hope that these photos bring you joy, peace, and a sense of connection. Next time you walk out your door, look around. You may be surprised at what you see.
